CANCELED PARENTS

 What would a middle aged couple want with a young woman? Why would a middle aged couple choose to adopt an adult? Why would they not adopt a baby or a young child? Why did Dara and Dean Colt adopt our daughter? Doesn't adoption take planning? These are questions I have asked myself many times. Usually where adult adoptions are involved, there is money involved, someone has a will and wants to leave something behind and this is a convenient way to do so. Maybe Dara and Dean Colt are secretly wealthy and they both work to keep from being bored, and she complains teachers are not paid enough because she wants more money? Doubtful! Other reasons for adult adoptions is when someone is unable to care for themselves, and their parents are dead, and they have no family. That does not apply here at all. We all want things to be easy that make us uncomfortable. No one wants to put up a fight, it can be difficult to stand up for what we believe in and know is right and just. Loving someone and wanting someone in your life should be easy. Only it's not. Too many outside forces can break your shield, tear you apart. I am not the only mother who grieves for an estranged daughter. The pain is very real. Many mothers attempt suicide because the main is so unbearable they no longer want to live. I live with that unbearable pain daily.  I have often told my husband that drugs or alcohol to distort my thinking would be easier. I could get a controlled substance to take away my ability to feel emotion. I could find soem prescription drugs, to take to block my emotions, so I would no longer have a care in the world.  Is human trafficking legal? Would you be able to trust the government to help you as a parent of an adult child or would they turn a blind eye? Would you be able to get anyone to help you as a parent if someone was grooming your adult child?  If your adult child joined a cult, most likely nothing would be done, unless the parent can prove something illegal is happening. It is up to the parent as the police usually just shrug their shoulders, and tell parents they're an adult. Everyone turns a blind eye while parents know better and refuse to accept this injustice. We believed the GA Department of Education had an obligation to take our complaint seriously, even the Running County Sherriff's Department, Running county superintendent, DeLaire High School principal someone was responsible to investigate.  Am I allowed to have an opinion? Of course I am! It takes beasts with cold hearts and very demonic souls to lure someone into their home, keep them away from their parents, adopt them and change their name. Yes, I think of them as beasts, hypocrites, cruel heartless. Only a beast could pull this off and show no empathy towards parents and deceive the world. When we found out Dara and Dean Colt had adopted our daughter and changed her name without our knowledge we were left bewildered. Our daughter never told us she did not like her name. She never mentioned she wanted another name. She never mentioned she didn't want us as her parents. She never mentioned she was out shopping for new parents for that matter. Please tell us when Dara and Duane Colt bothered to reach out to us? Tried to reunite us with our daughter? Showed us an ounce of compassion an ounce of sympathy?
