CANCELED PARENTS

 On June 18, 2022 I got up the nerve to drive to Roeburgh, Georgia in Running County to see our daughter. This would be a four hour drive.  I had no expectations. I only wanted to tell my daughter I love her and that I am here for her should she ever need me.  Since it was such a long drive, I got up very early. I wanted to be there early enough in the morning so most likely Elizabeth would be there. I knocked on the front door, and Dean Colt came around from the side door. Dara Colt did not come outside, my daughter did not come outside.  Why did they refuse to come outside? Dean Colt was cordial, he did not yell at us or threaten us. I told him I only wanted to tell my daughter I love her, and I am here for her should she ever need me.  I simply said since my daughter has not come outside, I would call and request a welfare check just to make sure my daughter was okay. He did not object. I was hoping maybe an officer could talk her into coming outside.  We waited for the deputy to ar

 Once we found out where our daughter was. Law enforcement refused to do welfare checks. We were told we did too many and it was considered harassment. We were told not to contact our daughter, not to do welfare checks. We were told she was an adult and could live anywhere she wanted. In other words we were not allowed to inquire if our daughter was safe, alive, healthy. Being a concerned parent was forbidden since she was now an adult.  We called the school principal Margie Swartz and the superintendent Daniel Ramer. We wanted to inform them we believed a teacher under their direct supervision  had an inappropriate relationship with our daughter. We were told no one had ever complained about Dara Colt, she was a wonderful teacher. We were told by the superintendent that while the situation is unusual, the teacher's personal life does not affect her teaching.   Our daughter told us she was going to spend the night at a friend's house. She said she would text me to come pick her up. She took her computer to play video games. We had no reason not to believe her. We trusted our daughter. Our daughter gave no indication she was planning to move out or move half way across the state to live with her former high school teacher.  When Elizabeth didn't return we tried texting, and she didn't respond, we tried calling Elizabeth no response. We put her photo on Facebook telling anyone if they see her to immediately call 911 because she was missing. We called police reported her missing. We were living our worst fears our daughter was missing. I felt I was going to die right then at that moment.   We later found a note in Elizabeth's room saying she moved out to stay with friends, and not to contact her. The note sounded nothing like our daughter and read like Elizabeth was coached as to what to say. We have a difficult time believing

 We tried to be good parents to the best of our ability and sought solutions to the very great challenges with our daughter. We tried different therapists along with group and individual DBT therapy Dialectical behavior therapy. Our daughter refused to go to school, it was her senior year, I wanted nothing more than for her to graduate. She was smart, she scored in the top percentile on an AP exam, she was plenty capable. She missed too many days, so she was put into online classes. She refused to do her school work, she said it was boring. She was going to one of the best schools in the state, but she longed for DeLaire High School where Dara Colt teaches. Our daughter insisted we enroll her in a different school, so we did. Covid forced closure and she was put in online classes again. She refused to do her work again. I offered to hire a tutor, she pretended to be sick an hour before the tutor arrived. I had to cancel and pay the tutor. She made it clear she did not want a tutor. At

 Elections are all over the television screen right now. Raphael Warnock seems very charismatic, he is a very smooth talker, he has lots of ads, that claim how wonderful he is.  However when asked questions, he doesn't directly answer them. This reminds me of Dara Colt. There's even the ad with the ex wife on police camera saying he tried to run her over. I wonder what she thinks about him? There seems to be very little criticism of him, he is very good at hiding his flaws, convincing everyone he never does wrong. When it comes to Warnock's opponent Hershel Walker it appears no expense has been spared in showing each and every flaw from Hershel Walker's past. Did Walker pay women to have abortions intentionally? Shameful! He was very generous giving an ex girlfriend a check, she claims to have used to get an abortion. He suffered mental illness, and according to his ex wife held a gun to her head.  Walker did answer questions without hesitation during the debate. Walker

Cancelled parents are everywhere! Chances are you know someone who is estranged from their family. Parents are getting canceled everyday, but no one is talking about it. Why would they? It is a devastatingly painful experience.  I am a cancelled parent. When I reveal this secret people are shocked, they don't understand. I get mixed reactions. Many ask why and how this could happen. Many ask why has law enforcement, Ga Board of Education, principal of the DeLaire High school , Superintendent of Running County Schools have not done anything. They all hide behind the cloak of my daughter's age, legally she is an adult.  In my opinion my daughter had an inappropriate relationship with a former high school teacher Dara Colt. That relationship started the day my daughter stepped foot in Dara Colt's classroom. We moved 4 hours away, this teacher had no business having a relationship behind our backs with our daughter.
