We reached out to Dara Colt many times, we sent many emails that went unanswered. We didn't understand we considered teachers to be trustworthy, honest, dependable. Surely she would care enough to reunite us with our daughter, reassure us, ease our minds? She didn't respond to us except for the one evasive email. We were left bewildered, we could not figure out why this was happening.
We have sent emails to our daughter, none have been answered. We have sent gifts, not knowing if they have been opened. We sent birthday cake, ice cream. We can't call or text our daughter, no one has provided us with Elizabeth's new phone number. Our daughter either removed the SIM card, or threw her phone away she once had, who knows what happened to the phone? Certainly not us. After all this time we still pay the bill in hopes she will turn the phone on again. We tried to reach out, but Elizabeth didn't respond.
During the summer of 2021 we saw a picture of our daughter Elizabeth posted on Dara Colt's Facebook the teacher our daughter lives with. There was our daughter Elizabeth sandwiched between her and her husband at a public park. Dara Colt bragged how these were her two favorite goof balls. What did she mean by that? Our daughter is one of her favorite people? Our daughter admired this teacher Dara Colt Does it appear Dara Colt have an unhealthy relationship with our daughter?
We miss our daughter terribly, we haven't heard
her voice or seen her for what feels like eternity. We couldn't resist temptation, and we posted how wonderful our daughter was and how much we loved her. It was a simple message, we didn't see the harm. We posted messages on the Dara Colt and her husband Duane C's Facebook page declaring our love for our one and only daughter.
Our comments were deleted and we were quickly blocked. Why? Why would someone want to hide the fact that we admire our daughter? Why would someone want to hide the fact we are her parents? Why would someone want to hide the fact we love our daughter? WHY? We don't understand how or why anyone would want to shut us out of our daughter's life. What could Dara Colt's motive be? Why is she doing this? How could anyone be so heartless and cruel? Why has no one noticed? Is everyone blind and clueless? We have also been blocked from seeing her twitter, we have been blocked and ghosted.
Teachers are paid to teach not have SECRET RELATIONSHIPS with students or former students! It would appear Dara Colt had a secret relationship with our daughter. We had no idea, and we found this concerning. Our daughter moved into her home out of the blue keeping it a secret. When we pointed this out to law enforcement, GA Board of Education, high school principal, and superintendent, no one seemed at all concerned. She is an adult now, so nobody cared. We were told she is an adult and she can live wherever she wants with whoever she wants. Okay, but why the secrets and lies? Why are we now estranged from our daughter? does no one find this suspicious at all?
Teachers are paid to teach not groom children! Did Dara Colt groom our daughter? Did Dara Colt groom our daughter to become her daughter? Does it seem perfectly acceptable to everyone for children to have secret relationships with teachers? Suppose your minor teenage daughter is having a secret relationship with an adult drug dealer, pimp, bank robber, prisoner is this still acceptable? Because it is a teacher that makes it okay? No respectable adult should be having a secret relationship with a minor behind parent's backs! Period!
Did Dara Colt groom our daughter? Did Dara Colt groom our daughter to become her daughter? Everyone finds it acceptable for a young impressionable 18 year old female to move out of town, move in with a former teacher Dara Colt and her husband Dean Colt, with no children of their own and become estranged from her parents? All while Dara Colt brags about adopting a daughter? If our daughter were anywhere else with anyone else, would everyone still turn a blind eye? Is this what we expect of young ladies these days? Is this what we expect from teachers?
Dara Colt is very popular, she has over 700 friends on Facebook. Some appear to possibly be former students. It appears she is very very popular. She is on twitter with over 700 followers, has a blog, Quora and even has YouTube videos even another platform that charges money to join. She must be one extremely popular teacher and influential teacher!
The fact remains that our estranged daughter is living at Dara Colt's home. Dara Colt refused to notify us our daughter was there, and has refused to communicate with us other than that one very evasive email. How many more of Dara Colt former students are possibly estranged from their parents? She lied to us instead of admitting our daughter was there when we asked if she was. At least that is how we interpreted her evasive response.
Is this teacher Dara Colt brainwashing our daughter to remain estranged from her parents? Has Dara Colt persuaded our daughter in any way to move in with her and become estranged from her parents? Has this teacher Dara Colt persuaded our daughter not to communicate with us? Did Dara Colt groom our daughter to become her daughter?
Here we are and less than year later, and Dara Colt claimed publicly to have adopted a daughter! Was this her motive all along? Was it her motive to destroy our relationship with our daughter so she could adopt her? As parents, what conclusion are we to come to? WE ARE CANCELED PARENTS
