TEACHERS ARE PAID TO TEACH NOT GROOM CHILDREN! DID DARA COLT HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER IN GA GROOM OUR DAUGHTER TO BECOME HER DAUGHTER? DID ANYONE TRY TO STOP HER?

 Our daughter's relationship with Dara Colt, DeLaire High School teacher in GA began the day she stepped foot into her classroom. My daughter's relationship with her former high school teacher did not begin after she turned 18! When my daughter was first in Dara Colt's class she didn't like her. I told my daughter not to be judgmental, give her a chance. 

My daughter, Elizabeth ended up admiring Dara Colt. When it came time for us to move in 2018, I sent Dara Colt an email, letting her know that our daughter admired her, could she tell her goodbye? Dara Colt  gave my daughter a note and a book. I thought that was sweet. The relationship should have ended there, or at least that is what I thought as a parent.

 We believed that was the end of Dara Colt. Anything beyond that point without our knowledge or consent was violating our boundaries. Anything beyond that point we believe is not only immoral, unhealthy but also unethical. Only Margie Swartz the DeLaire High School principal and Daniel Ramer superintendent of Runnin County Schools don't see it that way do they?  What about the State of Georgia? 

We were never expecting Dara Colt to have any relationship with our daughter behind our backs. We are Elizabeth's parents, Does our opinion not matter? If our daughter reached out to Dara Colt, as parents, would Dara Colt not be expected to contact us out of decent courtesy and let us know she was mentoring our daughter? Did Dara Colt take advantage of our daughter? Feed her insecurities? Driving a wedge between us and our daughter?  What has happened goes way beyond any possible mentoring.

 About 3 years later in Feb 2021, Our daughter left us a note when she left, that appeared to be coached. Does Dara Colt have a copy of that note? Did Dara Colt ever have a copy of that note? Why did Dara Colt never reach out to us and tell us our daughter was alive and safe? Was Dara Colt trying to hide our daughter's location from us? Is Dara Colt keeping our daughter alienated from us? Did Dara Colt encourage our daughter to become estranged from us?

As it stands our daughter Elizabeth is estranged from us, her parents. We have been slandered publicly on social media in the past by those associated with Dara Colt. We have been threatened not to make welfare checks on our daughter, we have been threatened to be sent to jail should we try to see our daughter. Dara Colt claims to have adopted a daughter? Our daughter's name has changed from Elizabeth Barre to Carol Colt? 

As parents are we to believe there was never any inappropriate relationship between our daughter and Dara Colt the DeLaire High School teacher? When we found out Elizabeth was there at Dara Colt's house we questioned why was Dara Colt trying to hide our daughter from us? What was her motive? Was her motive to take our daughter away from us? Now she proclaims she has a daughter she adopted?   

As a parents of a daughter who suffered mental illness and had multiple suicide attempts are we to believe that our daughter in sound mind thinking clearly without any influence decided after turning 18 she wanted a new set of parents and to change her name? The new set of parents being her former high school teacher Dara Colt and her husband?  

As parents, are we to believe that the State of Georgia Board of Education did a thorough and complete investigation into the relationship Elizabeth has with Dara Colt when we first reported an inappropriate relationship? Did they ignore us? Does Dara Colt's husband also work for the Schools system? Does our daughter now work for this same school system? What is going on here?

As parents what conclusions are we to come to? As parents who should be held accountable for what has happened to our family?  As parents of a daughter who suffered mental issues and multiple suicide attempts, who should we hold accountable? As parents, why were there no professionals willing to help us, willing to stop this from happening? As parents, what are we supposed to believe? 

As parents we went to law enforcement, Ga Board of education telling them something wasn't right about this situation, and everyone turned the other way ignoring our concerns. As parents what are we to think? What conclusions are we to come to? We want answers, we want accountability. We believe someone was responsible to prevent this from happening.

Teachers are paid to teach not groom children! Did Dara Colt groom our daughter to become her daughter? If so, did anyone try to stop her? The probate judge who signed the adoption papers? The high school principal? The superintendent? Georgia Board of Education? Law enforcement? ANYONE?
