  Another unanswered email to Dara Colt from 11/2021.The truth should be clear as day.  Why did no one see or notice?  Or were they all part of her devious plan? Dear Mrs. Colt- I have noticed that you have still not contacted us, and choose to ignore that we exist. We are Elizabeth's parents,  our daughter lives under your roof. This email was sent March 3, 2021 to the principal of DeLaire High School. To be fair she did give us a call, even if she did not do anything to help us. This is the exact words, only the phone number is omitted, and the names and places are changed to protect identities. Ms. Swartz- We have reason to believe Dara Colt invited our daughter Elizabeth Barre, a former student, to live in her home. The circumstances are suspicious. The fact that she blatantly lied when confronted is very concerning. We have contacted law enforcement, they are aware of the situation. We also intend to notify the superintendent.  We are concerned for the safety and wellbeing of our daughter, and other students.  About 10 days ago this email was sent to the principal, superintendent, and even Ga State Board  DOE. No response. o to everyone who has asked me did the school do anything, why didn't they do anything. Your guess is as good as mine. Not only did they ignore us as parents, they never bothered to tell us where we could get help.  Back in March of 2021 when the first FB page was started, one of Dara Colt's FB friends Lacy Hellerbent posted something odd. She stated she took in a troubled young lady. My friend asked if this was some fettish of they had, taking in troubled young ladies and keeping them from their families? I would hope not. Here we are more than a year later. Now this teacher that was reported for an inappropriate relationship has declared publicly to have adopted a daughter.  Would it be suspicious I were a teacher had a secret relationship with a former student who moved 4 hours away behind her parents back?  If I were a teacher and she moved in with me 3 years later after she turns 18, could you please look the other way?  If I were a teacher and ignore the parents when they ask about their daughter I could not have any ulterior motive could I?  If my husband and I suddenly adopt an adult daughter and change her name behind the parents back this would be okay if I were a teacher?  Our daughter's relationship with Dara Colt, DeLaire High School teacher in GA began the day she stepped foot into her classroom. My daughter's relationship with her former high school teacher did not begin after she turned 18! When my daughter was first in Dara Colt's class she didn't like her. I told my daughter not to be judgmental, give her a chance.  My daughter, Elizabeth ended up admiring Dara Colt.    Nothing happy and uplifting about being estranged from your adult child. All you can do is say you love your child, try to reach out but you can't force them to contact you, tell you what is going on in their life.  Trying to do what I believed was right as a parent, I added my daughter to my health, vision and dental insurance policy. I thought it could possibly be helpful to Elizabeth, even if she doesn't speak to us. I thought she may find the benefits helpful.  Well it came time to verify my dependents.   Estrangement has become trendy. There is no shortage of social media platforms encouraging and giving approval for young adults to become estranged from their parents. There are rules and examples of how to go no contact. Like the pied Piper of Hamlin if you play the right tune (frequency) they will fall in line or follow right along. The young are vulnerable, they are easy targets.   People are mesmerized by those trending videos, Instagram photos and those popular on  social media platforms. They are popular so people follow blindly ignoring the facts.  People want to be more like them, not lookin at the consequences of how they are hurting others or even how they are losing their self, losing their own identity.  On June 18, 2022 I got up the nerve to drive to Roeburgh, Georgia in Running County to see our daughter. This would be a four hour drive.  I had no expectations. I only wanted to tell my daughter I love her and that I am here for her should she ever need me.  Since it was such a long drive, I got up very early. I wanted to be there early enough in the morning so most likely Elizabeth would be there. I knocked on the front door, and Dean Colt came around from the side door.   Our daughter told us she was going to spend the night at a friend's house. She said she would text me to come pick her up. She took her computer to play video games. We had no reason not to believe her. We trusted our daughter. Our daughter gave no indication she was planning to move out or move half way across the state to live with her former high school teacher.  When Elizabeth didn't return we tried texting, and she didn't respond, we tried calling Elizabeth no response. We put her photo on Facebook telling anyone if they see her to immediately call 911 because she was missing. We called police reported her missing. We were living our worst fears our daughter was missing.
